Planning a loan or an investment is easier when you can see the numbers. Our free Financial Calculator Suite brings the most useful tools together in one place: an EMI calculator, a loan calculator, SIP, FD and RD calculators, and an income tax estimator. It works instantly in your browser, needs no registration and does not store your data.
To use it, pick the calculator tab you need. For an EMI calculation, enter the loan amount in rupees, the annual interest rate and the loan tenure in years, then click Calculate EMI. You will see your monthly instalment, the total interest payable and the total repayment. Change the tenure or rate to compare scenarios, and press Reset to start again. Results are estimates for planning only; your lender’s final figures may differ slightly.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is EMI calculated?
EMI = P × r × (1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the number of monthly instalments.
How does the interest rate affect my loan?
A higher rate raises both your monthly EMI and the total interest paid. Even a 0.5% difference can change the total cost noticeably on a long-tenure loan.
Does a longer tenure reduce my EMI?
Yes, a longer tenure lowers the monthly EMI, but you pay interest for more months, so the total interest cost is higher. Choose a balance that suits your budget.
Is the calculator result exact?
The calculator gives accurate estimates based on the reducing-balance method. Processing fees, taxes and rounding by your bank may cause small differences, so confirm with your lender.
